Kuwait Fashion Fridays

Sudanese artist Khalid al-Baih originated the concept of Doha Fashion Fridays in Qatar. The intention is to share the stories of migrant workers and show them expressing individuality through their fashion during their day off. With Khalid’s blessing, I have begun photographing and interviewing ex-patriots from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt, The Philippines, and elsewhere. Afterward, I send them the edited photo. These photos were intended to be displayed in the Ensaniyat (which translates to Humanity) Exhibition in April of 2020 which has been postponed. Ensaniyat Project is aimed at spreading awareness about migrant workers and domestic workers rights and laws in Kuwait and Qatar.
