Christmas Tree Island

This video documents the ephemeral campsite created by two artists squatting on Wisteria Island in Key West, Florida. The island has been a point of contention between wealthy developers determined to turn it into a private resort and local citizens fighting to keep it free from gentrification. Using found debris left behind from hurricanes, they built shrines, sculptures, a latrine, and a miniature golf course.
